Hoping to get a 233 but i have 2 noob qtns:

Noticed that the new series now has the "am/pm" indicator instead of the "dot". So should I get this or should i look for a pre-owned without the "am/pm" ?

How does the am/pm work? I suppose the sub-dial is for the 2nd time zone? so if it is 3am in the morning, do I only see the "am" and the "pm" disappears?

I own the 233i first series... I'm only guessing.. Is'nt arrow hand at sub-dial indicate day or night ?? GMT hand remain unchange hidden under main hr/min. Pls correct me if I wrong

unless im mistaken am/pm indicator will follow the hour hand instead of GMT hand.

whether it is AM/PM indicator or disc colored to indicate the day/night, it is personally preference. some like the AM PM as it is 'more obvious'. some like the color disc indicator as it is more sublimed.

Choice between Old dial vs. New dial....

Visit the ADs and shops, and view them for yourself. Whichever sings to u more, mate.

A lot of us are biased here, as you may already know which dial we are on.

The 233 is like Wayne Rodney or Didier Drogba of EPL... the near complete striker... All the best in your hunt for one.

AM/PM follows GMT arm.

When it is full black, it means night time. And not advisable to make phone call. White means it is day time, good time to call. Disclaimer: this is for reference only.

This GMT is 12 hrs unlike your ROLEX. Therefore you can tug the GMT arm under the hour hand to make it disappear.

I got a 233k.. Didnt know how to use the dotted AM / PM indicator as well...
Anyway guys, whats the max power reserve that can last on your 233?
Mine lasted usually 10days n 8-10hours.. i heard from some brothers theirs lasted up to 12 days!

PAM233 inquiry

Hi everyone,

For those who have handled a PAM 233 with dot indicator, may I know as to what hour (in reference with the GMT hand) does the dot indicator starts to change color. May I know also how long does it take for the indicator to change color (i.e. starting from showing a hint of green to a full green indicator).

I appreciate all the help.

The dot indicator tells the day and night of the GMT hand. it indicate to you when not to call/telephone the party from the GMT zone. I think from 9pm onwards it starts to change from white to black and black to white from 9am onwards
