STOP Wearing Panerai..? Interesting Read...

Quite neutral comments regarding this, amazingly from Pam fans too. Agreed with Kuching Bro about different watches at different prices for different consumers.
But got a bit lost on theLast time, a dealer here will blast him for saying Pam is not good. He thinks the world of Pams. Now that his attention has shifted to vintage Rolex, things will not erupt even if every one here slam Pams.
So currently on the list of 'adoption home for abandon Panerais' are Bro Ender, Sis DM & Bro Kuching. Maybe one of you can try nego with Bro GadgetGuy about your 'adoption policy' and see which one Bro Gadget feels most comfortable as he is 'adopting' away his 320.
Sites and write ups like this should not be taken seriously as no one can say what is best for someone else other than that someone himself. Opinions are purely personals and if it affect certain individuals then do like what Bro Ocwatching and Bro Exxondus suggest, dont bother to read it and discard it. But to me , its still an interesting read.
Cheers.

Did anyone talk abt me?
This is an interesting topic for me to come in again.....
Old saying never goes wrong..A dog will one day turn around and bite its owner
This is a true world, who feed you , you lick its boots. Proved wat i said b4 was solid brick right.
Someone who tht he is "#1 Panerai top notch expert adviser" slamed me for criticising the brand, in fact i hv never blamed the brand itself, my post was clear tat i mentioned the after sales service provided locally.
I can easily quote another bad service incident recently by our Richmont Singapore. I called the Mgr and wanted to replace some screws for my Panerai bracelet, was told $35 and can replace up to 5 screws. Was there the following day, counter girls insisted i pay $35 x 5 = $175 ( $35 for each screw as i need to replace 5 of them total), i got so pissed and ask for the mgr Daphe to come out from her office and explain the miscommunication in their own dept!
This time round she was surprisingly extremely polite to admit is their fault and proceeded to charge me only $35 for all.
Think maybe they read the previous threads here and improved? So like i said b4 criticism is to improve the standard, not out to slam them blindly. All ppl need to learn by accepting comments regardless of right or wrong, self-observing to upgrade your own integrity and then be a better man.
Someone out there stepped on my feet 1st and i hv to kick him back at his face, this is self retaliation which is not wrong in the eyes of law.
Panerai made history and dominate the watch world within a short time, They are good at marketing and catching the heart of watch lovers who their 1st panerai will be historic with simple eta movement. Panerai was right again into making their own movements and i esp like the Pam311 ( 8 days pr, gmt, chrono monopulsante titanium case tobacco dial) for the panerais upgraders.
But i will never never pay high $$$ for a speculator watch who commanded way above its reasonable price.
Patek and Lange made very good movements, tho is expensive it is expected with their well trained renowned watch makers, grandfather of complications, excellent excellent after sales marketing cum repair and service.

I was talking about that someone who slammed you and me that time cos he worships Pam and could not talk any criticism. The irony is that this person has now disappeared from Pam scene and dived into Vintage Rolex...a brand he has personally slammed in the past......Like you used to say....one's past will come back to haunt oneself, esp in the cyber world.
May we hope for his return when the 339 appears and there is money to be earned.

Bro batam and exxondus..... we all got a common enemy.
A nice forum like sg-roc is suppose to be friendly, all of us get together to discuss on all brands of watches, be it negative or positive. 1 basic international rule to apply is not to step into others posting and pass sarcism, be humble and be polite. This guy had been attacking the members here creating havocs and wars thus pushing himself down the bottom of a stinky smelly sliver well when all and many of us just one PUI on his face.
He is a keeper now is still reading and into this forum. I'm sure he has reduced his arrogant-ness already. Hope he can learn and holding oneself responsible when making unnecessary remarks here. We can alw forgive and try to forget but what we said and posts are here forever for the future to read and easily retrieved.
We are all one big family of watch lovers who discuss the joy of watch collections, be it junior, senior or super old bird. All of us started from scratch and learn during the process. So let's keep this place filled with fun, pleasure and out of civil war. Let this place be a nice cosy website to surf esp for the new members.

Anyway, his reply to the same question..
Hey Watch Snob,
What is currently on your wrist and what is in your rotation?
Just curious.
Reply : Something you can’t afford. I mean that. What’s on my wrist now is an A. Lange & Sohne automatic that hasn’t even come out yet. I will refrain from telling you the model name because it will be meaningless to you. What else is in my collection? An original Speedmaster Broad Arrow worth about as much as three years of education in your public universities, a steel Patek Philippe Ref 130 chronograph worth as much as your parent’s doublewide (above-ground pool included), a vintage Paul Newman Daytona that needs no introduction, and about 50 other timepieces that sit firmly above your purview.
