Not Sure If I Got It Right...

But from a local website selling quite a lot of Pammies model, it stated there that retail is close to about $10 400 for the L series.

Maybe a few other bros here can correct me if I am off.

Mostly what SG dealers and flippers did was to buy overseas set as its relatively cheaper cause they get rebate on the tax i.e. the VAT. Meaning they would have save a couple of bucks before selling back in SG at price close to their cost price.

    Cheers.

          I must confess...

Desipte all my great theories about how not worth a ETA based Panerai is for its price, I have now eaten my own words and plunged into a PAM005

3 months is all I can tahan, from the constant poisoning from people around me, on the street, and most of all sgroc...

I can however take comfort from the fact that I did not pay the full price...I traded away my Omega moonphase + top-up for this preowned fiver.

A typical "people have I also have" mindset I guess...

Yeah...some of the reasons I gave myself for staying away from PAM, apart from the non-value-for-money theory, are,
                  - the big-watch trend will not last long, and the price for PAM will soften when the trend is over
                  - 44mm is way to big for my 6" wrist
But then everyone in this and other forums say PAM are here to stay; many with wrist size as small as mine claim that 44mm isn't too big and some even wear 55mm watches!

The last draw came when one of my lady colleagues wore a new PAM90 to office recently (she is the 4th PAM in our office). I spotted it and asked to try it on my wrist. When I put it on I realised it didn't look overly huge as I thought, and the "aunties" around me exclaimed "look nice leh on you!"...and then I knew I cannot tahan liao...

Yeah, just to share something. Just to share a real life experience, I have a group of friends, not really close to them though, from a car forum so we do hang out time to time. A few of them are watch addicts too so they are into brands like Rolex, Ap, etc.....So one day I was talking to them, PAMS nice hor? So one of them retorted aiyah PAM f*** up la, non in house movement, just ETA nia, so exp and U r paying 100 bucks for the movement and the remaining for the brand and box. Ppl who buy PAM "KAM Gong" one la.

So conversation ended and the last I heard from one of the guys in that group, the same fella got himself a PAM 164 not too long ago haha. So he joined the "Kam Gong" group as well.

I used to have the same mentality, PAMs is just a trend that will pass, invest in Rolex, AP, etc much more worth. But of cos I wasnt as extreme as that fella though, I kept comments to myself. Now I no PAM will die hahahaha
