Hi pegasi bro, I am having the exact same thoughts + situation + dilenma as you! Hahaha... May be the main problem is not enough bullets to pull the trigger.

Almost decided to get the Pam 005 to stop the itchyness, but only almost.

    - the mid-range automatic PAM using ETA Valjoux movement are a better buy value wise but still expensive.

    - the hingh-end range using in-house movement P2000 or P9000 serious, priced above $11K (I think) and onwards, though expensive, are actually priced more reasonably when compared with other makes with in-house movement.

All said, I do not deny that Panerai watches are damn good-look watches with excellent quality and successful branding that command some premium on price.

In fact I have been wanting and holding back on getting one as I have yet to convince myself whether to spend the least just to own a piece, or throw in my hard-earned money for the more expensive ones which I believe more worthwhile keeping...

    Open to different opinions...

Let's see who can tahan the itchyness longer, hehehe. Drop each other a note when the bullet is triggered

May I borrow the slogan from another bro...I dun need another watch, I dun need another watch, I dun need another watch, I dun need another watch...

You serious Bro..? How can you do that?! The current Sub i.e. the 24,25,64,87 and 243 are the 'offspring' of their GREAT father the 341! There's a lot of 'roots' in that 24 Bro! (LOL! Joking Joking)

I am loving my 87 though. This one 'should be a keeper'. I guess.

Nice collection you have Bro. Maybe some pics to 'help' TS make some considerations..? And myself maybe?

            Cheers.

                    Just one question..

                    King007,

I am also learning about this brand. I assume that this is your first PAMmie. From the way the question was phrased, I also assume that you are indifferent towards a manual wind or an auto.

May I ask you gently but directly?

Do you need the date for this exciting piece?
Meaning to say.. if there is no date, you will get a little uncomfy owning it after a while.

Bro, they might just produce one soon...

In my subjective views, I could find no fault with the 312. If disposable income permits, 312 is a good buy among the PAM range.

The movement ...not bad....Double barrels for the 3 dayz. But the 233 got 1 more barrel... hehe...

                        312, good choice.

                          Hi,

You are quite right. I am indeed indifferent towards a manual wind or an auto. I am in dilemma with both the historical meaning of PAM (of which winding is the way to go) and the value for money theory (of which Valjoux is better money worth than Unitas).

I am ok with a watch without a date - I own a Rolex Submariner No Date btw.

Got a crazy idea and that is to get both. Sigh, but still, money no enough, so must make a choice to get either.
