  • problematic 312?

I have a 312 that i don wear all the time.

I would need to wind the watch before i wear it..

However, i realise that after winding, the seconds hand does not start moving, despite how hard i shake the watch.

I can only "kick-start" the seconds hand by adjusting the hours hand, if you know what i mean.

is there someting wrong with the watch?
what's the correct way to "kick-start" the seconds hand ticking?

    thanks

The second hand should move automatically after you have wind the watch
I think you should send it to service centre for a check.

when y0u say complete turning, does it mean i should pull out the crown to the outest level before winding?

or does it mean winding before i pull out the crown?

if really repair, it shd be under warranty right?

Pulling out crown is for setting time on Hrs./mins. hand...for kick start, we only need to wind without pulling it.My guts feeling tell me ur Pam is unwell Even as u set hrs/mins. The second hand counter should already generate enough power to drive ur Pam for few mins. Cheers

i have a 312, i usually start mine by always opening the lever first, then adjusting the time, pushing back the crown to 'close position', handwind about 20 turns, i push the lever back in, and a slight turn of the watch to put it on and the seconds hand moves with no issues.

hi i tried it out again on my 312.

                  I opened the lever
                  handwind abt 10 turns
pull out the crown one time, and realise the seconds hand started to move
pull out the crown one more time so that i can adjust the mins hand to my desired timing (at the same time realised the seconds hands stopped moving)
                  push back the lever

and the seconds hand started to move again...

i guess my watch is fine after all, after knowing the correct approach to "kick-start" the 312
