Pam 299. Bracelet --> leather strap?

    Pam 299. Bracelet --> leather strap?

    Greetings sifu & friends,

    I'm a newbie here. Am looking for my first panerai .
    Currently i have these 3 models in mind for consideration:
    177, 299 and the 312.

    I was wondering whether one can change the stainless steel bracelet that comes on the pam 299 to leather/ruber straps. I was told by a local panerai sales staff that for the 299 you can't switch the s/s bracelet to leather/rubber straps. I've also checked the panerai website, and it was mentioned that you can't change the s/s bracelet to leather/rubber straps for their 44mm s/s bracelet luminor marina watch. Can anyone verify this?

    Any opinions on the pam 299?

        due to inhouse movement?i am curious to know too...i like 177 more...manual winding tit base ....looks full of panerai DNA...hehehe

          At the moment, the local AD has stock of the 299, until it is sold.

          My choice of preference would be in the following order:
          177 , 312 and finally the 299 for the obvious reasons.

          ... i'm like feeling should i wait for the 177 or 312 to arrive at the AD or pull the trigger on the 299. hmmm...

            ... ended pulling the trigger on a pam 320 L

            (so many pams to like...not easy to decide)
