Any serial number on casing?

Dear senior and experts..

I have a pam 90 and i accidentally give a big knock on the side left of watch causing it to have a deep scratch. I actually thought of transferring my pam 005 to pam 90 casing as it is cheaper than replace the whole case.

So anyone can advise is there a s/n or any form of words on the case itself besides the back cover?

Can it fit since both are 44mm ?

Any shop besides Richmont can help me to change the case?

I do not think you can 'hybridize' the two watches. They have got two different movement. There should be variation in height.

I'd send it in for a polish, and not attempt to change anything. Calibres are different between contemporary and historics, so are the internal dimensions to fit them. Even if you try, I don't think it's possible.

Send for polishing at Richmont.They should get it repaired.
Dont think about ex-changing the casing!

The 3 folks before me have advised you aptly. On a friendly but direct note, why would you consider this option?

Yes, there is no number marking the casing.

1. Supposingly, you are not darn sure if the casings match, but by swopping them this way, you would still end up with a wonderful fiver (PAM 005) which you will be very reluctant to wear? (Of which you will then have a scratch that you cannot tolerate). I stand by my view in the forums that the fiver is a wonderfully nice model to have, and to be sensitive to all my risti friends, I shall not rank the 5-er vs. the 90 based on my personal liking.

2. Few watch "servicers" or makers will do this for you for less than a polishing fee. First, there are few who are technically comfortable with your intended option. Next, out of those who are comfortable, they surely would have their hands full with servicing jobs of all brands, and servicing jobs yield extremely good revenue to them.

3. By your description of a scratch, there are many watch "servicers" or makers who could easily do this for you. The polishing cost is something you can stomach. And yes, Richmont can do likewise for you. You should get the 90 back to its brillant old form.

I hope the crystal is not "injured". If it is, then it is a different ball game. Your options are a lot more limited. My views are based on a "deep casing scratch" description.

cos thinking of swopping so my pam 5 can be a daily beater since alrady big scratch, nice casing pam 90 for weekends outing...heeee..

I thought all case are mass production so movements must be the same dimensions to store inside the case regardless is a power reserve or gmt or chrono? Still very blur...

Since no lettering on the casing then think it will not affect the resale price right?
Any recommended watch repairer who have the tools to remove the back case and do this swopping job?
I checked some golden landmark shops and they doesnt have the tools.

Just received few PMs from bros here. This particular shop at GL do have the tools. But again not sure these shops willing to take the risk in transferring the case?

This is one big stepping stone for me, to do or not... I know most advises are negative. Just that the scratche plus dent are beyong polishing job, even if it did polished , the case will not be symmetrical.. not shiok already leh.

Pam 90 is more ex than my Pam 5, at least depreciation on the damaged case on 005 will be less than on pam 90 right?
