Does anyone here or you know actually owns the latest Pam 634? Is the community here even big?
Just for the sake of asking. Would you flip it a small profit or to keep it?

I definitely do not have one and not sure if anyone whom I know has one too. The community here is big alright.

About flipping or keeping the 634, it's the owner's personal choice really. The words Paneristi and Anniversary are being used loosely nowadays. From the 360 saga, many were divided base on the allocation and flippers are flipping with a lot of profits. Then came the 532 which flippers thought would be another hit and tried to make a huge profits like the 360, didn't happen. And now the 634, with an even less superior new case? It's all about demand and supply. I don't think the demand for SEs are as great as it was before what more one that have an engraving "Paneristi". Though I still think a very small profit, compared to the 360, can be made.

But here is where the sad truth lies. The real movers and buyers for SEs and Paneristi editions (or most Panerais models itself) are the hardcore Paneristis themselves as they have this passion and Dna of being a Ristis, embedded in them and price is nothing other then numbers and figures and they pride themselves as being an elite few. But when you remove the hardcore Panerisits from the equation, you get the mass consumers who don't see the real value in buying something expensive for a less superior model when for the same amount they can score a much newer more advance model. Would the masses buys a 5218-201A or two gold Pam 289 and 319 for roughly the same amount of money? Surely they will choose the latter but a true hardcore Risti will chose the former. That's the difference.

The community themselves, are quite quiet as of late, no longer like when I was there 7 years ago. Things change and people come and go. Though the passion still lives, it's lives deep in the hearts and no longer as much as words.

So flipping a Paneristi SEs is nothing uncommon these days as many of the owners are new "Ristis" who wants to be part of the Community without real passion and dna. If one can make more out of it, why not?

There are many PAM634s being sold to VVIP of Panerai as we speak. They are not even registered in Paneristi or have shown interest in the first place. The boutique offer Pam634 as companion watch if you buy something they deemed 'right'. That means Paneristi themselves didn't get it. Moreover, there are simply not enough watches for everyone who wants it . I think that´s always the situation.

Thankfully - there will always be another special edition coming up. this is Panerai you know.. LOL

      Do not chase

        Well said fellows

I'm not VIP customer of Panerai but I do understand the business strategy of companion piece. Like buying a exotic birkin or a special Ferrari. It's nit even abiut if you are rich but one has to be a "good" customer.

If I do get a 634 I probably won't selling it for that little profit. Unless I'm a dealer, if not I would rather keep cos I can't do a lot with that little bit of profit. As it is, it's a good value for money. For €4100 euro is not even enough to buy a base Pam.

I would be torn too to choose a early paul newman daytona or a couple of current gold daytona.

But all in all, buy what one like and enjoy rather then what's popular or deem correct.

          Panerai Lovers'

As all bros had mentioned,Pam 634 S.E.is for Paneristi forum, hence, OP will only allocated to their own prefered VVIP or P.com forum members'.
However, I am sure lots of members' had placed to request for this tiempiece. Sad to hear and inform P.com members, it's will not be able to cater all who had placed the request in P.com forum.
Though there is always plenty of discussions when will he/she get it and those lucky one got it and sell in reseller markets or watch forums , make a handsome profits.
What's most angry the fans are why the watch fans' walk into the OP boutique and was told that they are still in the waiting list or the boutique still have not received this Pam 634.
The bad new is when you read the forum and found out that someone got it from the OP boutique(s) which you had visited recently but managed to grab it without any additional conditions.
Despite of it, one will have to accept the reality and move on or out of OP brand whom our bros had mentioned earlier and also diluted the so called " Special Edition".

Last but not least,IMHO,please choose what's you love the timepiece or brand most rather than keeping chasing the fast bucks of Special Edition towards flipping in our watch forum.

Unless, you have a "DEEP" pockets to spend on luxury timepieces.

Merry Christmas To All Risits In Singapore
