I would do it concurrently. No wasting of time. At times, offers from shops can be more reasonable than online. Just my 2-c.

On the other hand, some of the offers you get from the internet can make your blood boil. Typically I find that trading up at a shop gets you better prices than just selling outright.

Online for sure. Shops normally wouldn't take it in at a good price as they (understandably) need a margin. But they'd verify/polish/refurbish to sell it off in a good condition.

Which shop takes in good price for panarai? Does your katong shop gives gd price too?

Depend how urgent u wanna sell.

Very very urgent- sell to shop
Not urgent at all- sell online, usually can fetch a higher selling price.

One must be prepared to face time wasters, know-it-all, low-ballers etc when selling online. However, there are also good buyers out there.

Do we have specialised shops out there that pay higher price for particular brand? (i.e. certain shops take in Omega with higher price while another shop takes in higher for Panerai etc?)

In the initial communication through e-mail, ask for the address of the buyer/seller (even perhaps copy of ID). If you have a buyer who is really interested, meet up in town in a coffeehouse or wherever you have some privacy and only handover the watch when he is handing over the money. But make sure you count the money before handing over the watch.

Do your due diligence, nowadays you can find a lot about ppl on the internet (facebook, linkedin, instagram, twitter etc.)
