  • Pam 590 THE 8 Giorni Brevettato...

Been quiet in here lately, thought I could spice up a bit...

Pam 590 THE 8 Giorni Brevettato...

    Good news is...590 has landed.
Bad news is...Not to the rest of the world...yet.

This is the piece that has evoke memories of the 203 with its circular trademark 8 Giorni Brevettato...

It has reached the shores of North America...for the first release this year. And for us here in Singapore, we will have to wait till most probably around this time next year for the second release...unless we see a couple or so available through the grey dealers here which could be a possibility...with a premium I guess...

Now to some pics borrowed from their respective proud owners...this is one I am pretty excited about and hope when I see one in the metal, it won't disappoint...

          Thanks for sharing.
I had thought the 590 a worthy competitor to the 372 but I am having 2nd thoughts about the missing 3 and 9. Probably
          Looks like an owl?
Probably need to examine it up close.

To place both the sub second and the trademark in a 44mm doesn't allow any room for the numbers 3 and 9 and Panerai surely won't want to mess (so much) with their loyal fans and collectors by casing it in a 47mm which will trigger more chaos then what it already has...

Does it look like this bro...? Lol.

Any confirmed sources that it's restricted to boutique only when finally released to ROTW?

Of late, there are instances whereby non Boutique , the ADs, received SEs which was a surprising but logical move by Panerai as the ADs themselves have certain pool of loyal customers who have been purchasing Panerais from them and demand Panerai to allocate small numbers of SEs to them.

The recent Panerai event that I attended, I spoke to Alban who is the GM of SEA, and he confirmed again that this is not a SE but a regular limited production piece. And this not being a SE, there is no word from Panerai if this is going to be released through their boutique only.

The only way we can tell for sure is to see for the next few months, from the sale of the North America, if owners have bought through the boutique only or their preferred ADs.

So far...most of the owners got them from the boutique...but I doubt Panerai will stop there. Current number is 1000 pcs from this first released, which is pretty a lot for one continent...my guess is, the ADs will get some of the lion's share.

But it's still far away to the second released for the rest of the world and the production numbers then will determine if the ADs gets some or not.

                          Hope this helps.

                          Cheers.

I think I will wait for Mr Bonati to come up with a 44mm '372' with 1950 case + super-duper dome
