  • Pls advise... Pam needed....

Hi guys, what if u hv a budget of let say S$15K to spend, which model will u guys recommend to get from Panerai boutique in Ion? Let's consider it as a gift from my wife that I can choose a watch from there n not from dealers or any fellow friends here in this forum. Thanks in advance...

Lucky you...how I wish my wife will give me gift like that...

Buying from boutique means paying retail and for 15k, there's plenty of choice...but questions like this is pretty much personal preference...

What Pams do you have currently? Which case you prefer? Radiomir? Luminor Bettarini or 1950 casing?

So much to consider...unless you can narrow down a bit more than just generic...?

If I have 15k to purchase a gift from the boutique...I would tell my wife to wait until Q4 this year or Q1 of 2015...I know it's a bit too long but the good stuff of SIHH 2014 are likely to hit the boutique around that time...

Hey, good stuff have to wait right?

    Cheers.

Thanks bro Ryuden, actually I prefer 1950 case, clean simple dial, with see thru back. Can consider 47mm too.

        44mm 1950 casing

        312
        315
        359

        47mm 1950 casing

        372
        305

These are more "popular" choice I can think straight from my head... Of all listed...no doubt the 372 is the ONE...

But I still think the 2014 models are something to consider. Thought they are not offered in the 1950 casing but the 8 days power reserve is something worth to look at.

        Cheers.

Get a 372 - looks like it's the popular pam DNA watch now
Squeeze in a Tudor with the spare cash for diversification

After getting a 372, still got spare cash for Tudor?

Bro nb1, you are very funny :-) But remember that charity begins at home :-)

Bro deslene, you can also consider pam 321. It comes with GMT, power reserve indicator, sandwich dial, exhibition caseback. One of my favourites :-)

I would go for a PAM 510 simple and plus it has 8 days... and you can have antoher $4k spare to buy your wife a necklass or ring...

Oh, I dun mind the 564... Any idea how much it will be retailing at? I love titanium casing becos of its lightweight. Just like my AP forged carbon diver, so much lighter than my steel diver.

& to Bro nb1, how good a person is, is not judged by how much he donates to charity. To tell u the fact, I never believe in donating to any organization, because most part of our donations will not be put to good use(helping the needy, but to the organization department workers). I does my "charity" thru other means.

MR lucky Bro deslene!. How are you today, I am not bad today. 564 titanium casing not available yet, price range about 12 to 13K, 510 available similar looks but steel, price range about 9+ to 10K.

Charity begins at home, yes Bro Chen! you are right. Only if you have extra to support the
                      unlucky Children's and handicapped.

Is not judged by how much we donates to charity. Yes Bro deslene! you are right, small will do. Send small cash like $10 we feel organization department workers take as they pay check, dont send what going to happen to unlucky Children's and handicapped. Back to topic..

Bro nb1. Sir honestly you need help get one please.

                      My Take.
                      44mm 312. 351. 233..
                      47mm. 372..

i am not sure how much the 564 will be but Panerai Ion will call me when its arrived.
i love the 510 but choose to wait for the 564 just bcoz of the Ti.
something light and better scratch resistant compared to 510.
my current 359,its really tiring due to the heavy weight so i just dump it for the weekends.

233 is over the budget already la bro...Bro Deslene is looking at 15k only and buying from boutique, confirm guarantee chop no discount.

510 and 564 are both bettarini casing. If 1950 casing as Bro Deslene prefer, my take is 372. Real real close remake to the original and the plexi is sexy...but bro ac_wong also have valid point, get the 510 and with extra dough, get an other watch, maybe Tudor BB?

If the 2014 models , yes the 564 is nice but I will op for the 562 instead. Base is ace.

                          Cheers.

Wow... Thanks for all these response... My wife have the 351. I used to own that. Love every bit of it, titanium case, gold hands, see thru back... Actually regret letting it go. So most likely I would go for titanium case n 47mm. Afraid that 372 might be very heavy, any comment on that from owners of 372? How abt Pam submersible? Like 305? Not popular?

                              305 is nice...I love it...maybe because I am a submersible fan...

47mm,titanium,in house, see through case back and a diver! What's not to like?

Very confident that this piece you buying will never ever be sold off since its a gift from your wife, so regardless whatever the secondary market prices are,you don't have to worry about reselling and losing the value as its immaterial...

Best is, take your time to go down the boutique and try it on. The staff there are friendly, Christine,Aida,Andy and the gang will take care of you.

                              Cheers.
