Original Panerai Deployment buckle

is it true leather or rubber oem size of 4-5mm thickness does not have deployent buckle?
i have a strap which has 4-5mm thickness but a thinner tongue of 2mm.That is able to fit.
i purchase another which has the same thickness of 5mm unable to fit into the deployent buckle i have.
