Stupid qns on winding

I know it might be a dumb qns, but I'd rather be laughed at then to screw up my new love.

Is it wise to counter wind to set the date? Example, I wanted to set to 31st Oct, but end up overshot to 1st. Rather then winding all the way to hit 31st again, I counter wind to attain backdate. Will it like coz a catastrophe?

date winding is only one direction....doesn't work in the other direction

i know you can do that with rolex gmt models and the explorer but not sure about pams.

Took out my 351's manual and looked at the instructions booklet. Gallardofever is right, you can adjust date in both directions for the P.9000 movement. It states that you can turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise until the correct date appears in the date window.
