47mm luminor - 26/22mm or 26/26mm width for aftermarket strap?
21-10-13, 11:40 PM
Thinking of getting an aftermarket strap for my 422, should I go for 26/22mm or 26/26mm?
Going for casual, non-rugged look. Thanks.

Personally, prefers 26/ 26mm.
All my aftermarket straps are custom made in parallel width...

seems like 26/26mm are more common.
PAM buckle very ex. If i go for 26/26mm, will need to get new buckle also.

Exactly. I feel the tapered style more suitable for rads rather than luminors. Go for the 26/26
elusive

26/26mm will look better as 47mm is a huge watch . 22mm buckle will look funny imo .

Agree that 26/26 is the way to go for a 47mm Luminor.
But it is your watch, whatever floats your boat!

I have a 26/26 strap on my Sub as you can see:
And I do have a 26/24 strap:
You can see the tapering of the strap from 26mm to 24mm.
Any more tapering, in my opinion, won't look so nice. With a big watch, you need a big buckle too!

Yes... the buckle is huge! I was surprised too but it matches well with the 47mm Sub.

I do a 26/24. You may need to try out before decide. For me 26mm buckle is too big, it should not bigger than the watch.
Just my own preference.

Hey Elton. Thanks. I went for a 26/24mm with a slim buckle. Feels very comfortable on my wrist.

Personally prefer tapered leather strap for my skinny wrist.
