  • Small wrist meets 47mm

    Folks!

Just gathering some thoughts. Panerai had been releasing a few 47mm and the 00372 caught my eye. Like the balanced and basic dial, especially the big fat letterings. I have a rather small wrist, about 6 1/3 inches. Always thought 44mm is the largest I can go. Really like the 00372 though and I don't think the same dial would look good on anything smaller. What you folks think? 47mm on a small wrist.......

The crown guard makes the watch looks bigger.

For 47mm, better to go with Radiomir series..

My Swiss SE (female) is wearing a 47mm Radiomir and it looks very very good on her!

Well, I have tried the 372 on my wrist, about the same size as yours, and it doesn't look right. I felt that my wrist was too small to pull it off. The Luminor case of the 372 is thinner, hence the problem.

With the same size wrist as yours, I feel that I could wear the following (as an example and discounting the smaller sizes like 40 & 42mm):

      1. 44mm 1950 Luminor
      2. 44mm Luminor
      3. 47mm 1950 Luminor Sub

Don't know why Radiomir just does not fit right on my wrists, regardless the sizes!!

And I noticed that ladies tend to wear Pams more loosely on their wrists, not sure why!

I had a 6.2" wrist. Also wearing 47mm PAM without any issue. After u get used to 47mm, you will feeling ur PAM 441 too small already!

            nothing wrong.
but i will chuckle (and raise my eyebrow) if i see a small wristed person wearing an oversized watch.

that said, you will not want to fight someone bigger or smaller than you, logically right

              Thanks folks!

I was looking at the 00523 earlier on because I thought I could convince my wife to wear it. She was more interested in the AP ROO white steel and Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono. So started looking at another PAM and saw the 00372. I will see if I can find one to try out.

i think it's not so much your wrist size but your overall size or height that matters. If you are tall, you can carry off the watch despite having skinny wrists.

                    +1.

I can't agree more. many people do not realise that it's the sum of its parts that matter. the wrist shot might look small but in person a small watch will look odd on a tall and big, maybe fat, guy while the same could be said of a shorter bloke with muscled body but small wrist.

I know of a lanky guy, talll but really skinny but looks good with a 50mm. thick, chunky ennebi.
I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

It should be too big for you. But do try it our at the AD infront of a full mirror to see how it looks on you overall.

In any fashion sense, I think 47mm will be better for those guys with a bigger build, brings out the 372 more.

                          My 47mm 389 Sub & my wife's 44mm 219 Destro!

Pleasantly surprised that I could pull of a 47mm on my tiny 6.25" wrist.

I am 1.8m and about 70kg... getting fat around the WAIST but not my WRIST!!

Don't know man. My wife already asking why I wear a clock when she sees the 00441.....
