  • Scratches on Omega

    Hi all,
I am sure most of us would have somehow gotten some light scratches on our beloved Omega watches inevitably durin the course of our daily wear. Any idea if these light scratches on the crown and links can be polished away and if so roughly how much will it cost if its done by Swatch Group?

Light scratches can be polished away but not deep cuts or dings. But I suggest you do it outside. Will sure save you some money.

cape cod cloth, 3m scrub pad and lots of elbow-grease does for me. I do on my seikos, but would not want to do that on my Seamaster as any polishing involves removing of metal. And keeping in mind the propensity of the omega clasp to accumulate scratches, polishing and refinishing is of no use.

The clasp of my SMP and PO is a scratch magnet and I have this polishing cloth which can be bought from Tiffany & Co. at around $10 a piece (if i remember correctly) and does a decent job for minor scratches, not deep ones though.
