Will save up for the 3570.50. Love the idea of manual! Ok bah I listen to all you uncles here. Any lobang for reliable second hand omega dealer? Buy new damn ex, might as well let previous owner take the kick in the balls for me..
Then after that thinking of going to change strap to leather, use poly watch buff out crystal scratches, should be good as new!
why are you buying watches now at 18 yrs old? Go chase skirts...that's the right thing to do now...

I'm currently looking to get an Omega speedmaster (I like the idea of the moon watch on my wrist!). It's going to be my first luxury watch and also an 18th birthday present for myself next year (so I'm saving like siao now)
For the SMP, second hand can be found for 3k +-
For the reduced can be found $1.7k +-
Should I go for the reduced or the pro?
no need to bother saving so hard. You like it, just go to bank and take money out to hantam. Am sure your bank acount got 3.5k to spare.
"Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
And yah lor got watch chase skirts easier. Spend money bring girl out might as well buy a watch that will stay on my wrist forever, right! Buy earlier better, prices of watches going up every year. Buy earlier cheaper and brings greater utility!
Can't agree more. I regretted I didn't try hard enough to 'chase skirts' when I was 18. So ended up, now in my 50s still chasing...
BS!! you started chasing skirts way younger than 18 yrs old! I ought to know better than the members here.

Boy, let me share with you how it should work. chase skirt first (and practice your econs 101 to not invest too much in it), get some bonuses along the way then ask her to pay half of the preowned omega cos she wants to get you something for your anniversary/birthday.
Basic Econs 102 - invest wisely and reap higher returns

HAHAHAH @advanced econs. Jump to better skirts after she finance half of the omega!
And I think I won't sell the SMP cos it's timeless and also my first watch! Thanks for suggestions bros! Really appreciate your guidance and support!!
The first watch always means something. My dad still has his very first 'real' watch, a seiko automatic. I can hear the nostalgia in his voice as he showed it to me, I want to be able to do that someday!
LOL use watch to chase skirts? HAHAHA my male and female friends don't even know brands like Lange, Patek Philippe and Vacheron, so what's the point of buying a watch just to chase skirts? It's more for personal enjoyment, heehee :P

I remember when I first went to an Omega Boutique many years ago, I asked the girl why anyone would want to buy the more expensive manual winding version when it was so mah fan compared to the automatic. And she shrugged her shoulders as if she couldn't comprehend it either. Now that I own the Pro, whenever I look at the Reduced, I feel a great relief that I didn't get the Reduced...the Pro just looks so much better, and I actually enjoy the routine of winding my watch every morning..
