  • Omega Authentication

    Hi all,

I'm wondering, is it possible to get an Omega verified in Singapore if there's no papers for a watch? If possible, where should it be done and what are the associated costs?

    Thank you.

Can be done at the service center located at Wheellock Place, Orchard.

Not so sure about the cost. Perhaps you can give them a ring --> http://www.omegawatches.com/customer...&sellwatches=1

But Watcha just said Swatch Group doesn't do authentication. Doesn't this make it dangerous to buy resale Omegas?

It is not in the interest of any watch manufacturer to make it safe or easy for trading of preowned watches. Definitely not at the expense of their resource/cost which is why they either stop doing it totally (Richemont) or charge a high price (RSC).

Not a bad idea ! Perhaps can try that if swatch group really doesn't provide authentication service anymore

You should be able to authenticate it at the Swatch Group at Wheelock Place, though possibly not in a direct manner. They might not agree to authenticate per se as I think that technically they do not provide such a service, but if you ask them to service the watch and to give you a quote, they will only give you a quote after they check the watch and have verified that it is indeed authentic Omega. If it's not authentic, they won't give you a quote and will tell you that it's because it's not authentic. So..slightly roundabout but you will get your answer to your question.

I guess it really depends on the models. Dont think they will do vintage watches...
