Anyone a fan of the Railmaster?

i thnk the aqua-terra r/master is the best looking of the lot...but i am not a fan of leather strap

I used to have seamaster, the classic one in blue, and quartz. Its quite nice. I missed it!

Anyway omega's discount is 20% is it? I asked, railmaster is selling at 4250

as mentioned, i passed thru' t2 last nite and chatted with the sales girl there from the omega store....

firstly, bad news for me... i was hoping to get additional discounts during sales period, like GSS, etc. but she said omega do not offer additional discounts even during sales period. right now, the savings buying from T2 is 18% off list plus 7% gst savings. sounds like a good deal regardless....

i looked at the seamaster co-axial, still $3.4k. i also check out the PO series, the rubber strap is $3.9k nett and the orange face one is only $4.0k nett. (i asked why, she said orange face not popular anymore, but the black rubber strap is) Compared to the dutyfree shops in frankfurt, the orange face watch is 2.8k euro only brands like rado and maurice lacriox is heavily discounted.

$3.4k is the nett buy price at the airport. i have the list price of omega at home. i think it is much more than that, just under $4k if i am not wrong.

this will be my next purchase, seamaster co-axial gmt diver 2535.80.00 @$5100, if i ended up not buying the GMT master II for what ever reasons....shld be able to get the OM at abt low end of $4k+ at the airport.

while transiting at the airport @ frankfurt earlier today....(more lk yesterday), i saw the 16710 @ 4360 euro, tax free. will hold out for my HK trip this nov, if cannot find it at the price i am `happy' wif, then i will settle for the sm co-ax gmt diver. i dun think it is an inferior watch...

the daytonas there is damn hot in europe....all price from $16k euros and above for the range there...
