      Yes, the rubber strap is very comfortable. The finishing is very good and smooth thus it would not feel sticky like the rubber straps from dive watches of other brands. It is a couple of hundreds cheaper as compared to the SS bracelets option. I like the design as a package so I did not bother to go with the SS bracelets. The rubber also takes off some of the weight of the watch making it much more comfy.

          one slight problem i have with the seamaster design is the 10oclock crown - looks out of place
          prefer rolex helium valve - flat and 'hidden' at 9 oclock position

          but that's just me

              Has anyone seen or heard of any reliability issues with the new PO Cal 8500? Leaky seals, spring issues etc?

                Yup. Try the airport it's 8% less + 7% duty free when departing to other country.

                  no prob so far. +2-3 sec/24hrs, smooth like my butt. don't know about leaky seals though, the only water it touched is the splashes from washing my cup. will let you know if i see condensation mark ; )
