So if I purchase a Speedmaster Professional via second hand, its possible for them to break open and check the movement to authenticate it for me?

I just recently did this at the Omega Service Centre in Keppel Bay Tower. I had them check the movement for authentication and condition. They will do this for a fee of $15. Although they will give you a warning that they do not guarantee that the water seal would be intact after. This is pretty standard stuff.
