this costs about $12000... a rare find, special edition, light weight... carbon fibre dial... gmt...n it also comes in a choice of rubber straps...

To be honest, it's not really a rare watch. It's just a numbered edition.

I remembered it was about 11k before discount. I'm sure about 8-9k is possible.

Yeah I know what you mean. Thats why I bought a BA GMT instead. Besides, my wife prefers it over the SI and the ATC GMT.
