  • Reviving of 70s Seiko

    Olla Members,

I've currently revived my 70's Seiko Sportsmatic (7625-8200) and got it moving.
But I've got a question which I cannot solve.
As you can see from the pic below, the plastic crystal is cracked on the 11o'clock.
Is there a way to either change it or cover the cracks?
    All advise is appreciated.

Mods, paiseh ... I don't know where this should be post so I went straight to Kopi-talk.

    Cheerios,
    i:m

You might want to visit K2 to see if he has a similar crystal that he can replace for you...

Watcha, I belief they don't as a century ago, I've paid them a visit and asked them to repair/restore my watch ...
Left it at the service center for over a month and they get back to me by saying, they no longer have the parts in Japan.
But seems like a small shop in Chinatown manage to revive my seiko back.

yup yup lucky me! But took that oldman to 3 weeks to correct the movement & timing.
Now the only thing is the plastic crystal. Don't know where I can fix them tho' ....
