Since we're at the Seiko movement topic, here's some highly regarded Seiko divers with the better movements and historical 1pc monocoque (front loading) case.

Here's a pic of my ex 300m Marine Master with the infamous 'Grand Seiko' hi-beat auto 28,800bph 8L35 movement. I'm getting +/-4 sec per day with it:

For quartz, Seikos are also untouchable too with their 7549/ 7C46 high torque 7 jewel movements +/-15sec per month. Here's 2 of my tunas, 600m(The one which Seiko secured to a submarine and went to the depth of 1000+ metres without problem mainly due to the 1pc monocoque case design) & 1000m Darth Tuna:

        Dear All Seiko Collectors,

After seeing all interesting posts on seiko diver watches here, I am so tempted by them especially Noriki's White Mini Monster. It actually looks kinda expensive althought it's price tag maybe a small fraction of a Rolex Submariner.

Now thinking of getting one and have done some research over the internet. Found out that there are few different Seiko Monster Diver, eg: Yellow Monster, Red Monster, Blue Monster, Green Monster, Orange Monster and Black Monster. Apart from Monster series, there are also Mini Monster and Samurai ...

Can any expert highlight to me which series of Seiko Diver are more collectible and also what is the difference between Monster & Mini Monster ?

Here are 2 good reference website link for most Seiko divers, Tunas are under the professional divers series. Yes they are hard to come by and at a price especially the vintage ones but they'll definitely bring a smile everytime one comes by. Popular japanese sites to order from are Higuchi & Seiya for the newer models.

                        Cheers & happy collecting

Jus saw this msg, if you are looking at the 600m or 1000m titanium models, be it vintage or new models, expect to pay anywhere from 1k plus to 4k for a good condition one. Below that are the new 300m models only.

A tip, Japan isn't cheap as they are highly collectible there(accept for the new common pcs which is already pretty ex at retail), for good prices, ebay will be the best choice.

get the tuna.. you wouldn't regret it..

here's a picture of my 300m tuna beside my U1.

300m is discontinued... which explains the high price of it..
