IIRC the list price for the Superocean 44 Abyss is ard $5700..comes in 4 colour accent.

You might want to consider the new Superocean 42 Blue Ltd edition - part of a run of 2000 and similar in price to the 44... but in my opinion cooler. I own the Superocean 42 yellow version myself.

Yup you are right about cost.... just sprung for a yellow accent leather Breitling strap from Melchers last week. Damage $300 but it was worth every cent.
