He did not make it easy for me to get back money. I waited from 12pm till 1.10pm to meet up with him. He now has the watch n I'm concerned he might rescam another unsuspecting buyer.

In the first place, prior to sales, seller claims that watch is purchased from a local AD
See attached link and text extracted from the sales thread (in blue)

              http://www.sg-roc.com/threads/105841...highlight=colt

Breitling service center's paper does not state watch authenticity, why is seller readily giving a full refund, without even going to the service center together with buyer to hear from the service center itself?

Also, how can an authentic watch sold by a local AD be verified to be a fake by Breitling service center?

              There are 4 possibilities
              1. breitling service center made a wrong judgement on the verification
              2. the local AD sold a fake watch to the seller
              3. the seller already knew upfront that the watch is a fake, and his claims that it is bought from a local AD is falsified at the point of posting the sales thread
              4. buyer bought an authentic watch from seller, but sent a fake watch to breitling center for verification

Buyer has offered his side of the story, and claims that he got a full refund from the seller just one day after the sales

Giving a full refund to the buyer (as per TS' claim) probably means that seller agrees to the claim that the very same watch (with the same serial number) is fake - did he purchase a fake watch from a famous local AD?

Which AD did he buy the watch from? Or is the whole story of a 'famous local AD' a make-up to cheat buyers?

Can seller step forward to present his side of the story?

It's in the first post already..

"Plus the serial number is on the back casing under the model number is suspicious. The serial number is 826811 which seems to be the serial number on some watch replica websites."

Breitling quoted $25 for verification and i have the invoice. Breitling svc centre could have done better by listing down it was fake on the invoice instead of just giving a verbal confirmation that the watch was not genuine.

4 key areas listed as fake by Breitling Svc Centre:
                    Date aperture in wrong position.
Bracelet clasp imprint of Breitling was not etched clearly.
                    Sub-dial erroneous display.
                    Mechanism is not Brietling movement.

To be honest this is really good enough, I doubt Rolex will even print it out for you.

Glad to hear that the case has been settled peacefully.

Brietling will definitely not print on paper that your watch is not authentic to safeguard their own backside also.

                            Relief to hear ur refund.

Does this happen for other made watches too?

Any protection for consumer buying from online?
