Anyway any recommendations for a men's watch for my hubby's birthday? He quite rugged so something he can wear to work and casual as well.

Actually you should also 'fine tune' your choice/question because there is a large variety of watches in that kinda' budget. For example, if it's quartz(battery) or automatic or hand-winding movement, size of watch, bracelet/rubber/leather strap, etc-etc.
