Hope bros can pardon my ignorance..I have been thinking about getting a watch that isnt quite mainstream and was going through the ecollezione website...and have quite a few questions..

    1. Are all Linde Werdelin watches produced in limited production numbers?
    2. Are there any regular production models?
    3. Do they have any entry level models and whats the price point I'm looking at? Is there discount(what%)?

Any info would be useful because I got zlich knowledge atm!

LW is a great brand to get into and the staff at the boutique here are very very friendly and nice to deal with.

      To answer your questions:

      1) Majority are proper limited editions, not like those from big brands that claim 2000 are a "limited edition". These would be denoted by the serial numbers on the caseback. Generally they are between sub 10 to 88 depending on edition. That said, the Spidolite I believe did come in a larger number of 222 in Titanium as did the black and silver dialed 3 Timers. There was some talk that the Biformeter was not a limited edition but I don't have more info on that.
      2) See above. Most tend to see "The One" and the "3 Timer" as the regular production versions
      3) Entry level is certainly "The One" and even then its a stunner. Check out their boutique at Mandarin Gallery and they will be able to give you an idea on price range, to me, considering that these are produced in batches of 88 only for white or black dial, the price is quite reasonable. See their website for indicative pricing and there is discounts available at the boutique of >20%.

Hope that helps. Big fan of LW.

I'm sure you have done your research online. Great reviews as an emerging luxury sports brand.

Personally their watches appeal to me. I have a Spidospeed and enjoying it very much.

However don't expect the same kind of following or holding value as Panerai or AP so go with your heart!

They have some very nice watches but it does not seem very popular as other brands like Rolex, Pams, IWC, AP, etc. But if you like it, buy it! lol Enjoy and share pics when you acquire it!

I am considering to let go my 3 months old Oktopus 2 yellow. PM me if interested. I am also open to possible trade with LW The One or 3 timer in black dial and stainless steel. The Oktopus 2 is a well built watch and the yellow get a lot of attention and its fun to wear. Too bad its too pretty for me to go diving with it.

Pity the brand doesn't have any more entry level watches, I went to the local AD a few weeks ago and the cheapest one was the Oktopus at $19,800+ if I recall correctly. Hopefully 2014 sees the production of a new series other than the Spido and Oktopus.

Oh and also, the straps for these watches cost a bomb too with the SS bracelet priced at $930 from local AD. Been hunting straps for my 3-timer but no luck so far..
