Tag Heuer Formula1 Rubber Bumper degrading

Hi, I ve a Tag Heuer F1 WAC1110-0. The rubber Bumper started to degrade.
I ve checked and it is not replacable. I think changing the case will be too expensive
an option. Any one try removing the rubber out ? How it's look after removal ?

My colleague has the same problem and he has removed the rubber bumper by himself.

To be honest, it looks awkward before and after the removal!

Thks , look awkward before and after ! Look like I have to live with it and see how it eventually turn out to
be as it degrade away. I guess that is why the new Formula 1 model has do away with the rubber bumper.
