I see. But the watch wears pretty proportionally on my 7" wrist and appears "big"with its clean dial and slim bezel. Any thing bigger may make it too rugged for me as an everyday office watch. I think Archimedes offer bigger fliegers but I still prefer the worksmanship and design of a Stowa. Ha.

Used to own the Stowa LE 2801 which is of 40mm but felt it wears a bit small/light and lacks presence on the wrist.

Date for the Stowa Fliegers. I struggled with this before and wanted a dateless for its utilitarian look (and being truer to the original flieger) until I came to reason with myself that a crippled movement is a no-no for me. The crown date position (half pull) is still there. Only the date wheel is missing and no date window on the dial. It's an antithesis for me.
