Different price category as the squale and steinharts. But good daily beater. For a full titanium at this price, it's reasonable.

Maybe Tag heuer aquaracer 300M calibre 5 automatic or Omega seamaster 300M chronometer could be an alternative..

How about something ceramic? Since its for daily wear, must be durable and resistance to scratches.
My ceramic J12 is serving me good on this aspect and it's versatile as a work or play watch.

What do you think is the requirements for a good 'daily watch'? I would say to have these traits:

                          1. Durable - Tegimented watches or ceremic?
                          2. Not too flashy but yet respectable- this is hard. But there are some brands which fits the bill I suppose? Non-conventional brands that is still respectable among WIS.
                          3. A little between dressy and casual - Avoid the extremes. Pilot watches usually works fine. Some divers surprisingly pull of as well! My fav would be calendars!

Some random suggestions for less flashy yet respectable watches @ all price ranges:

Divers: Christoper Ward C60, SINN U1 Teg, Perrelet Seacraft, Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

Pilots: Steinhart Nav.B-Uhr 44 vintage TITANIUM, Vucain Aviator GMT, Zenith Pilot Chronograph

Calendars: Armand Nicolet M02 Complete Calendar, JLC Master Calendar, Glashütte Original Senator Perpetual Calendar in platinum

Others Casual: Alpina Extreme Regulator, Carl.F.Bucherer TravelTec, GP 1966 Chronograph

                            ... ...
On the key consideration points highlight by you... here's my take...
1 Durable- there're many interpretations on "durable/durability". Some focus on the movements, whether is it a workhorse quality reliable movement, or a movement architecture that can live a long good years such that in the future, no worries on serviceability. Some focus on the look, such as how the design of the watch may live through years or decades such that they don't get kicked off easily as time passes. Some will focus on the work quality... where i believe most of us would not want to see after spending off a large amount of our pay for a new watch, after several days/weeks/months later falls apart, giving us lots of problems? So what does "durable" really mean? Personally. i myself would look onto the type of movement used first, then by built quality, then by referring to feedbacks posted on the model that i eyed upon, onto the price, follows by look, then ends with brands.
At the end of the day... i may go according to my affordable ability and my judgement on the first 4 to determine my catch. Not the brand or the look, where they play a little part in affecting my buying decision.

                            2. Not too flashy yet respectable- not really alot of people around us can do that, whom can be generally classified into 2 groups.
The Value idiots. Using my female colleagues as example, they would rather pay 3xx for a 3 hands quartz watch made by FOSSIL, DKNY, F**K as well as other fashion brands elsewhere than mechanical Seikos or some other brands with close price tagging and reliable ETA2824/7sXX/4rXX movements which is of workhorse quality and serviceable in long run along with better built specs such as good water resistance. At the price they pay, if i'm the kind of built quality idiot, i would rather go for SWATCH.
The BRAND Worshippers. Okay... this will be some kind of offensive and disrespectful to fellow brudders here who may own such expensive and exquisite marque, but i still need to point out. In the market there are few brands that carved out the reputations by making their in-house movements. Yet... there're some that use generic movements, modify in-house, then claim as their own in-house, follows by setting a high/premium price tags for the probably little level of works they did to the movements. Is it worth? It depends on individuals. I know i won't buy such model by sacrificing numbers of watches just for the exquisite marque, but i won't stop others who can afford, since the cost could be a little fraction of the collector's monthly income. But please... don't be like some collectors(especially some in HK who see no up on other smaller brands with high quality workmanship), who just enjoys bashing on smaller brands claiming that these microbrands are either copycats or fakers. Big brands using small cost components market in big price tag is no good either...

                            3. A little between dressy and casual- it all depends on what're the priorities of the collectors go after themes. If one is a dressy person who have very little less out door activities, most likely in the collector's collection, 95% will have very little sporty look. If one is a military themed collector, divers watch, fliegers, or military field watches with little WR specs will be in the collection as well. If one is a outdoor person, most likely in the collection, there will be lesser highly polished piece, bling bling piece, as well as expensive brand, stupid specs models.

Base Pam! I'm on 112 daily. Switch between straps to match attire. Only bad thing is without date.
