i was abt to start this thread but bro OK was ahead of me..

i begin to wonder if this is really a limtied edition? 399 pieces worldwide? so easy to get in our shores?? i've seen at least 6 pieces in the sales thread here...i won't pay a premium for it..besides, THG selling $3.6K after disc...

James made a good point. How come LE we manage to get so many pieces??? Or other THG regions no demand?
But so many sellers here selling way above the price AD would offer. Quick profit???

Apparently, I heard U black is only meant for Singapore but not worldwide which some of us heard of. 399 for Singapore seems quite an amount so be sure to see this quite often in the local market. However, I suppose none of us here is a big time buyer or a regular like some here who can get cheaper than $3.6K . Perhaps some of us here can tag along with Mr "Rottweiler" in future for Sinn lobangs ??? On Boi Mr "Rottweiler",help help abit for some of us here Grin grin ???

ya AD told me all pieces were snapped up. Before I bought my U1, asked them and was told none available. Probably many put name in advance out of interest but as time goes by before it actually arives, many took an about turn. Especially during such financial climate, a change of mind is possible.

i remember i heard from SA (before U1 black was launched) that U1 black will be available for SG only for the next 1-2 years....then it'll be back to the normal U1...not sure if this is true...

Hm... I hear that its offered to THG. So they can sell in M'sia, Australia too since they have branch there.. But this is what we hear lah.. what actually happen is anyone's guess.

can share with us here how you managed to get $300 cheaper than the 3.6k after disc quoted by my SE at THG?

times are bad, $300 saving can buy us 100 plates of $3 chicken rice

Just to share. My AD called me weeks ago and asked if I wanted this piece, since I'd reserved it months back. Problem is, I've not seen the physical watch and did not know if it suits me on my wrist. So I told AD that I needed to see/feel the watch before I could commit. He rejected it and said I've to confirm purchase over the phone and to collect and pay on the spot .

He referred me to Internet pictures which I reasoned that it was difficult to decide just by looking at pictures. When I asked further, AD stuttered and accidentally revealed that "I needed to make this piece out for you so you have to decide to buy first" .

He gave me a day's grace and I decided not to buy it. Having pondered for some time, I realised that this could be THG's marketing strategy, ie produce few pieces to test market and thereafter, subject to demand, make some more pieces for those "confirmed purchases". Of course, since they've stated 'limited edition' they will stop to produce once target is hit.
