  • TAG Heuer CARRERA Calibre 6

I am currently looking at TAG Heuer CARRERA Calibre 6 automatic...
anyone can advise on how reliable are this movements as compare to Calibre 7 or 11...

I am very new to tag hence need some guidance and help here.

Does Calibre 6 able to meet cosc standards?

I was offered a 15% discount off MRSP and wondering if this is a good deal?

i think calibre 6 is cosc certified. 15% discount sounds pretty standard. i could be wrong about the discount though...
I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

I think you're not wrong. The boutiques used to give a standard 20% disc but since early this year, it has dropped to 15%.

Am i right to say Calibre 6 are ETA movements that are COSC certified?

Could be wrong but maybe some of the gurus here can correct me. In laymaa's terms and to summarize for easy understanding. Usually those with no second hand or second sub dials cannot be cosc certified as they cannot be measured accurately down to the second. Cosc certification is awarded to completed watches when the watch is submitted for certification by the manufacturer. I don't think cosc certification is awarded to movements or ebauches.

My sincerest apologies I misread your questiopn. in this case, I would say it's not a cosc certified movement in the watch but rather, the watch (with the movement iinside) is cosc certified.
