  • Help me decide please

Hello guys, Im contemplating on a possible trade and I need some opinions from our watch gurus here. Someone offered me to trade his hamilton pan europe LE for two of my watches: my Oris BC4 small seconds pointer day and magrette regattare bronze. The hammy has a very slight scratch on the bezel, other than that it is in perfect condition. Do you think its worth it? Should i give up two watches for the hammy?

thank you very much guys your inputs will be highly appreciated.

    Cheers!

Erm... 1 watch for 2? My calculator doesn't count the same way ley...
        1. Your ORIS is unique in its way as the movement are not the same as the general ones.
        2. Your Margarette Bronze is more niche than the HAMMY.
        3. The HAMMY is good in looks, but practically... i have my reserve on the value it holds.

I would really think twice, the magrette bronzo is something u cannot buy off the net easily. Suppose u wish to do so.

Keep the 2 and buy the hammy

No point weighing the value if you have both the watches tug hidden somewhere deep in the drawers and dont wear them, so trade it.
But, if you still wear them often, then forget about that trade.

Many thanks bros for your advice I sincerely appreciate it. I never thought flipping watches could be this hard..hehe..Its just that rIve been recently itching for a new watch and buying a new one is not an option as I am saving up money for graduate school. So i considered trading watches instead just to scratch the itch. I love how the pan europe looks but my assessment is limited to sheer aesthetics alone. Can you enlighten me how much the oris bc4 small seconds pointer day and the magrette bronze be worth in the secondary market? Both watches are barely a year old and in perfect condition. What about the pan europe LE? is it possible to replace the scratched bezel?

I'm sorry for posting a lot of questions here. I'm relatively new to this passion and its my firs time to trade watches if ever. Again my heartfelt thanks to striker968, lunarin79, ed.YEO, Darkangel, illusion84, 13Oclock, and the king. Thank you so much guys.

Not worth to replace the scratched bezel if u ask me. If that is too much of a problem to u, I suggest you pass on it.

Well all the pros had been mentioned. It's all up to you then...
I restart this hobby since last year... so in certain sense, i'm as rookie as you.

But one thing i do know, the watch collecting hobby sometimes may not be about gathering how many well known badge or labels to decorate your trophy. Sometime a treasurable catch may come from niche movement, or how rare the released item may be(here refers to your magarette bronze, which will eventually turns into a rare piece in watch collecting world due to its short timed release...)

Hammy is about branding, and about how good it looks by the time spent on design. Who knows... under the hood, the movement, or should we call, the engine, is as common as all other SWISS watch you may find in budget range...

This is why my calculator finds that your equation weird.
