Quite a good price. About 21% discount? Pretty close to the offer of below $6000 I managed to get for a friend but he's still deciding!!!
You should consider getting a deployment buckle. The tang buckle will wear out the strap.
I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

I actually got a lemon, the chronograph was not working fine. The seconds hand doesn't stop at the middle.

The AD replaced it today when I went there to have it checked.

You can get through AD or richemonte's directly. Costs about $650.

Oh. Friend just corrected me. Htheprice offered after discount is $5600+. but still pretty close IMO. Just w bottle of second label first growth from a good vintage?

Good! Ya most AD's are rather professional about such issues.

              hehehe

              I like the Zenith

Frankly any Pilots I know, and I know 30-40 of them will use a Rolex GMT2 or a Breitling......
( Pilots watches these days are really for the Glory and Romance of the golden old years of flying... if it gives you pleasure - the marketing has done it's job )

                Hey,

But check out this other Zenith Pilot watch, even more drool worthy, IMHO!

                  hi all,

                  bringing up this old thread
what do you think of the zenith big date pilot?
the see through case back is mind blowing.
i'm still deciding on my first pilot chrono watch and seriously considering iw3777 or the old iw3717 until i see this
iw3717 & iw3777 use modified eta movement and zenith use in-house el premiro movement

I've gotta second this... and besides that point... technical aspect aside, I feel that IWC holds its class pretty well.

Iwc's modified eta movement is a workhorse. Have never experienced any problems with it thus far on my 3717. Furthermore, it's easier and cheaper to service I think. Iwc also seems to be more appreciated in singapore in comparison with zenith.

Having said that, I would go with the zenith cause i haven't tried one before. But the iwc pilot should be a good start for ur first pilot chrono though. And they r easier to come by.
