About S$3070 at Cortina (15% discount I think) for the steel one. Just asked a few days ago.

I was told they now use a Tudor (ETA/Valjoux) 7753 movement.

The difference between this base 7753 vs the old 7750 used in the older tudor chronos is that the new 7753 is more robust.

Further, the sub-dials on the 7753 are at 3,6,9 positions as opposed to the old 7750 used in earlier models which is at 6,9,12...

FYi what I read, the base-price of the 7750 movement is US$280, vs US$480 for the price of the 7753 movement.

I can't be sure... but I thought I read somewhere the ETA 7753 movements are not made in Switzerland?

me too, last time dont bother to look twice, when i saw this 1, was Wow... i think the bracelet, should hv some changes to it... looks good.

if 3070 = list, less 15%, quite ok price leh, ss also looks good, the other model rubber 1, also not too bad... wonder got any other color not . i think next wk whn i bck, i go walk walk

i also dunno, i came across it on a mag, thn check their website .. dunno if any bro here know or have seen/ hold the watch up close. dunno if it look as good as on the web/ mag.

The current bracelet is much improvement compared to the previous 1.The finishing is better than Tag. "SOLID" i wld say although still nt on par with Rollie but at 2k+, hw much can u complain? I m looking forward for my 2nd Tudor.

To me, its gd for everyday wear! U can abused it w/o feeling heartpain.

Stainless steel got many different grades. Some good for cooking utensils, some good for surgical stuff, marine use (can tahan sea water) etc. If i not wrong, only Rolex uses 904 stainless steel for case and bracelet. Many other makers use 316. The 904 is about 3 times the price of 316 stainless steel.

ETA is a movement maker. Tudor buys the movement from ETA, modify and refine it for use in their watches. Rolex uses inhouse made movements. (supposedly better?) So the cost of production is also different lor.
But then again, many watches out there using ETA movements and 316 steel are also selling $7-8k or more ma. eg Panerai, IWC. So tudor prices consider quite reasonable. hehe.

jus got one which is de chrono wif bracelet ones in black dial..bit similar to daytona..look quite solid n weight is heavy n slight thicker den rest of de models but get it mainly its look n new enhanced movement..a new model coming too which call iconut look more sporty will get it when it arrives...
