  • IWC Strap problem

Hi Bros need your advise on my IWC that I have bought earlier this month. Recently I have realize that 1 of the leather strap is peeling at the side around the lug area as the strap seems to be scrapping against the lug.

Is this normal? If not is it possible to have an exchange of strap at the service centre? By the way is the service center at havelock road King's centre? Lastly any bros have an idea how much the is original kevlar strap?

    Thanks in advance!

It appears the width of your current strap may be larger than your lug width. Just curious, what model is your IWC?

As for OEM kevlar strap, I recall it's around $300+. If you don't mind non-OEM, The Watch Boys make a decent kevlar-looking strap for IWCs at more affordable prices.

I have bought the IWC pilot 3717 model. Does the OEM strap comes with the tangs buckle? I have order kevlar strap from strap code few days back and currently I am wondering how to change the strap as there are no gaps to insert the tool in to remove the spring bar. So I am considering getting the original strap so they can have it change for me on the spot.

Yes, the 3717 comes with a leather strap on tang buckle. You got this from an AD? If so, then strap width should be right.

To change straps on the 3717, you'd need a Bergeon tool. Just make sure the width of your Strapcode strap is 21mm.

Sorry what I mean was if the original kevlar strap comes with the tang buckle?
Yes I got it from THG at raffles place. But I personally I feel that the leather strap should not peel.
Any idea if I could get it change for FOC? Yup I have order 21mm kevlar strap from them and ETA should be early feb i guess.

Sorry I meant does the original Kevlar strap comes together with the tangs buckle?
Yes I got it from THG and did not expect this to happen. Is it possible to get it replace FOC at the service center? Anyway I have ordered 21mm as did my research before that and ETA is around beginning of Feb I think.

$300+ is only for the kevlar strap. You can reuse the tang buckle that came with your 3717.
