Finally took the plunge and picked this baby up. Am loving how it photographs and wears on the wrist. Many naysayers (still love you guys) said I should go with the 5001 7 day and though I do like its larger size, there is just something about the balanced dial and thin simplicity of the 3714 that is striking.

On the hunt for a new strap. Choices are the OEM Antique brown, Watch boys dark brown or something from a custom strapmaker?

Glad that you get something you really like despite all the raves on the 7-days.

The Portuguese Chrono has such a magnificent and balanced dial, hard not to like it. It is smaller and slimmer than the 7-days too and sit much nicer on the wrist, especially if you have a thin 6.5" one like me.

Can't do pilot watches. Have had them and sold them fast. Something about the triangle just doesn't sit well with me hahaha. So no BP either.

Going to take a break for awhile I think, have too many in the collection right now. Very happy with this piece.
