  • Fake Sinn Watches

    Hi Foumers,

Anyone of you ever come across a fake Sinn watch?

I notice there's a website selling high quality fake watches.

    http://www.tswisstime.com/

Anyone can advised how to spot the different. Worst is this site claims to be interchangeble parts with original Sinn watch.

*Moderator please remove links if I am violeting the rules.

bro i checked the link u shared. those aren't high quality fakes. i would say they're poorly made. v distinctly different from originals.

eg. just from the front page i noticed their AP bumblebees are PVD, not carbon forged. (dead give away).

this iwc has the power reserve needle out of the intended range.

and furthermore the finishing of the watches there are no where near the real deal. looks terrible.

i'm not very well versed with sinn watches BUT i noticed something potentially very disturbing.
check out the movement used in the replica sinns.

    ISN'T THAT A REPLICA ROLEX 3135?!?!?!
granted it is poorly decorated and finished, but still potentially very very disturbing.

      Bro,

This is why I am getting worried about buying Sinn watches here especially those not from local AD. If there's watches almost identical, how about warranty card.

So far I had not come across fake Sinn watches here but it do surface for U-Boat locally. I could only say the "red-marking" on those fake Sinn watches are the most give away.

Cheers and good luck to all forumers buying watches, no matter how good one can be, get it checked at local AD.

        Pal,
SINN watches in Singapore relatively recent. So, most are only less than 5 years old (used). For those so young, I expect full box and paper. With these not easy to find high grade fakes (with fake papers/box) granted it is not a $30K watch. Else, just buy new at slightly over 2K for U1.

I feel U boat easier to fake than SINN. The U1 has 2 things not easy to fake.
        1. The weight of the submarine steel.
        2. The AR coating on the inside of the glass.

i have yet to come across a fake sinn. as mentioned before, i always prefer to buy pre-own watches with certification. this would limit risk to a certain extent.

sometimes it is easy to spot. however the crown with letter 'S' is sometimes a give away. the words engrave on the case back is also another tell-tale sign. for buckle the size and direction of wording is another tell-tale sign.

if the site claims parts are interchange, it does not state which parts are.

as the case back is solid, without seeing the movement, it is sometimes hard to tell.

as mentioned by KuchingKu, sometimes the weight can also give away if the watch is real or not.

for a trained eye, sometimes might not even able to tell from its external look.

Thanks everyone. My main concern always been the movement internally. As said, so far never come across those fake Sinn watches phyically. My worries also come in buying from those sellers here especially with oversea AD stamped.

However for Tag Heuer RS17 PVD, I do come across. Looking at it at first sight tells its fake. The chronograph don't button don't function well despite its a high grade AA or above replica watch.

This is the reason why I never support replica watches even its FOC. Rather get a homage watch for least the name already tells you its not replica but "copy" the design and "modified" it on its own.

in 2009, i have already seen fake sinn watches retailing in JB

btw & fyi, the replicas over there are at least 85% true to the exact model

go there to see it, and believe it...

For a 2k watch, it's not economical to fix a aaa full set I think.

The weight, color, sapphire, ar, rubber, clasp, tool all aaa will be costly.

I would agree with everyone else here, for a 2k-3k, it would b too costly to do a AAA grade replica.
So those in the market would be poorly made replicas. And for poorly made replicas, it is too easy to tell
From the quality of the crown, bezel, paintwork, watch dial n body surface, ar coating inside or outside....
