What I like about 3227 vs. 3717
+tough look, heavy and solid
+80110 inhouse movement >> you can debate all day long whether it's justified to be called inhouse movement. Search google for details/debate
What I don't like about 3227 vs. 3717:
-3717's bracelet looks much better
-3717 is more versatile, dress/casual wear ok, bracelet or straps ok. Different straps give different character to 3717
-it has gulloche dial
From my observation, the availability of 3717 is poorer than 3227. Does it mean 3717 is more popular? I cannot judge whether it has any relation to popularity. My usual advise, buy the one that 'speaks' to you. Can't go wrong with either one. Incase of doubt, buy both

haha, this is what i was afraid of. tuff call. both models are liked by me for different reasons. the ingeniur, for its tuff look. know its not v popular. the 3717, for me to add a leather strapped watch. and its slightly cheaper than the 3227... bak to square 1... some of the following questions might assist your purchase
1) are you getting to keep or for resale in future? if for resale, 3717
2) if getting for keep, i still say 3717 judging from the collection you have in your signature unless u got more that is unlisted.
like one member mentioned, when in doubt buy both. i will say it is always better to buy and then regret compared to regret not buying.

b. 325501 Mark XVI
and normal discount is ard?
2 days back saw Mark XVI in a shopping mall and was quoted 28% for all the IWC pilot watches..
