Just came back from WOS @ vivocity and viewing Ball watches
I find something very funny with the 3 aviator gmt on display there..
The white dial aviator gmt shows T100 &
brown dial shows T25 followed by black dial showing T...
When i enquire the SA there regarding the T lume rating, she promptly told that 3 different T ratings are for the 3 different color dials..
So i like to ask the Bros ard here is this possible/true?
cos i find this explanation very hard to believe..
    Best regards

So for that is no issue..
But for the aviator gmt really very confusing...
Are gmts with T/T100 lume rating brighter than T25 ???

A T rated dial should always be brighter than a T25 dial as it has a brightness between 25mC to 100mC whereas a T25 rating means anything less than 25mC. The Qs remains is how much brighter since we have no idea the exact mC for each dial respectively. Best bet is to view both dials and judge for yourself.

I asked b4 at Marina, they say they have no idea.

anyway, this is Ball watches forum. let's try not to deviate from it and talk about other brands. LOL.

                      Hi all,

I just got myself a Ball Aviator. But the lume is kinda weak. So I am wondering if thats normal or not since I thought that aviator is the brightest among all Ball watches?

At the shop display counter, its way brighter perhaps due to the uv lighting. But when I came home, its weak but it does maintain throughout the whole night.

                      Any Ball owners comment?

H3 lume is unlike a freshly charged superluminova lume... it does not have the super bright lume. H3 lume will be more apparent when u are in the dark. The big advantage of H3 lume is its consistency and it does not need an external light source to charge it. As u have mentioned, the display showcase uses UV light to make the H3 lume stand out. U can do the same by shining a UV torchlight on your watch.

H3 is the term for tritium tubes which are used in watches like Ball, Luminox, etc which are different from most other watches using superluminova paint for lume. The T ratings refer to how bright the lume is, in units of mC with T25 for 25mC and below and T for anything over 25mC and below 100mC. There's no such thing as T100, thats a typo.

                              Hi,

The reason why I said that is because I have read on WUS that there are people who bought the Aviator and commented that its so bright until it can be like a torchlight. So I am just wondering...Hmz...
Since mine certainly doesnt light up that much.

It depends on where the watch is. If the watch is in the dark, a T rated Ball watch can be pretty bright but certainly not when u are in a bright/semi-bright environment. Some folks have a different definition of a torchlight i suppose!
