  • Qns on Mark XVI 42hrs power reserve

    Hi bros,
I brought a mark XVI this june, but i notice that my watch power reserve is much lesser than the 42hrs as stated. Usually when i dun wear it over the weekend, it will stop after 14-16hrs. I try to wind the watch fully, but after 15-20 turns i feel the watch overwind protection mechanism kick in.

    Is this normal? TIA.

20 turns is unlikely to hit full power reserve.........

try 40 and monitor see how.....

If you have normal activities during the day, 14-16hrs power reserve is too low for a ETA 2892-A2 based watch. Even you are not avery active person, but have the watch with you whole day, it should power your watch more than 30hrs easily. Try not to wind it, wear it normally and monitor the power reserve. I would send if for checking if the power reserve remains low.
