  • Watches with Valjoux 7751 heart... what price minimum can get?

    Ok... long story short.
Mid year bonus akan datang, maybe can get something good for safe keep.
Went Mustafa to see see look look, come to Longines booth.
    Saw a auto-chrono with complicated date display(moon phase+month+day+numeric day@ circumference side... http://www.watch-wiki.net/index.php?title=Valjoux_7751).
Bracelet version, Longines Brand, @ $4.2k(maybe lesser)?

I see wrongly or what, is this auto or quartz?
Any other make in the market with same movement? @ lesser price tag?

Valjoux 7750/7751 lots of brand and choice,it all goes to the design that captures u in the end i feel.
I got my IWC Pilot chronograph IW371701 after going through many brands and comparing the price. My second Valjoux was the Pontos chronograph from Maurice Lacroix because i like the all-black design(and affordable price haha).
Breitling also got lots of nice one, just that the price keeps me away.

When i was young, i was always attracted the the Breitling watches due to that decorations of needles on the dials of different range/designs. Then when i saw the price tags, i realise that the those are the toys of the higher earners.
Later when i getting older and older, when my pay gets a little more, i started my watch collections with Swatch chronos. Eventually went to swissautos with the Sandoz submariner. Now started to eye on swissauto chronos..
Along the way, i realise that the price of the watch are mostly affected by the advertising cost spent on a brand, not forgetting the country of origin as well as the type of movement used. Hence, my focus falls on the internal parts rather than the external looks and name. Since then, i'm more focus on the worksmanship and component used factors, using these 2 main things to determine whether izzit "worth" buying...

Be it BREITLING, or BALLS, this are too far for me t reach. Anything less than 1k might catch my attention. Hopefully fellow brudders here will not misunderstand my words above.

just a slight info for all who may be interested with Victorinox Swiss Army auto chrono. note that the watches are fitted with the same movement thats currently used in the lastest TISSOT auto chrono range, as well as the SWATCH auto chronos, the "toned down" version of the valjoux 7750 movement... A07 something.

                i think it's a modified version of the 5100.

I had probably mentioned a few models in other forums... WUS or SEIKOCLUBSG...
Nvrmind... Anyway, i found that there isn't any models currently available in the market with 7751 moonphase chrono movement that can be priced below SGD2k.
However, with that budget, you can have a lot of options on those with 7750s.
Such as those from STEINHART, TISSOT, MIDO as well as others, if you can find.
