Saw both yesterday, around the same price. Really unsure which to go for.
Hand winding and 7 days....
Like both design, but i think the 46mm suit me better.
Any suggestion?

Personally, I would go for the Portuguese as I'm not particularly a big fan of vintage.

Have you seen the 2011 Portofino with 7-days PR ? That would be the only Portofino I would trade for a Portuguese.

In term of the positioning of the different series, the Portuguese series has so far been positioned higher than the Portofino series. In fact the Portofino has up till now been positioned as the entry level of IWC, but it seems IWC is trying to move the Portofino to the mid-high tier in their new range of Portofinos that include the 8-day's. I think the Portuguese series is and will still be positioned above the Portofino.

Most will say "buy what you like". I am just giving you another perspective on the perceived values due to the positioning of the two different series, since you are comparing two models of similar price range.

Finally made my decision.
Bought Portuguese 500114.
Forgo the vintage due to the potential hassle of winding it everyday and adjusting the moon phase.
