  • Does your Pilot Chrono squeak when you hand wind it?

This is my first IWC watch and it squeaks when I hand wind it or when I screw lock the crown. Is it supposed to be like this?

    Advice please...

maybe i am wrong but it sounds like a tight and dry gasket. a little oil at the service center will do the job.

I'll have a check at the service centre.

Where is the official IWC centre? I googled and it pointed me to ION. Hmm

btw, i brought it to Sincere and they said its the sound of the watch being wound and its fine... I didn't think it would be like that though. Anyhow, I won't be winding it much since I'll wear it daily...

            Love the watch!

Ok, if you put it near to the ear you can hear the sound, other then that i can't hear it and i guess it normal.

You can bring it to Richmont at king's Ctr 8th floor. But I dont think there's anything wrong with the sound, it happens to me too.

I suppose the threads of the stem is still new...after a few more time of screwing in and out will be better...or u can check if the threads are cross threaded?

For a peace of mind i suppose popping by the service centre will be better...

went richemont for a check.. results are that it is normal but they can reduce the sound with lubrication.. have to keep it for a 3-4 working days which I declined.. watch too new to be kept away from the hand.. and I don't hand wind it anyway...

I'll probably bring it in after a few months to make the sound go away

Just thought i'll share if anyone has the same problem.
