I would say that Anonimo is a "specialist" brand that will appeal to those who don't like to follow trends and like individual styles.
I'll admit that Panerais command a much better resale value, have a broader customer/fan base, and would in fact appreciate in value. Kudos to Panerai for creating the desireability factor!
However, that being said, Anonimos aren't bad watches in themselves. They cater more to those who already have Panerais and want something different to whet the curious appetite.
When I was in the market for an oversized military style watch last year, Panerais were top of my list. However, the wide range of models and the fact that it's hotly copied by counterfeiters made me very wary. Then I came across posts from a group of Singapore-based Anonimo enthusiasts, and ended up purchasing my first Anonimo which was the Militare Crono 2007.
