wo... high price for a Ball sia.. the last Magnate SRP was only $1.8k plus and i bought at $1.4k for the old Magnate, Sad tat i have sold it for another watch... will consider if it a $2k range, But still Ball have come out nice n special design, keep on impressing me..

Maybe you have to see the actual watch to comment later.... Cos from picture it may be difficult to tell. I don't think so that it really look like any of the rolex model. Go have a look and you will realise it has a different look.

yup, i will def go take a look to confirm what I feel. but just a heads up on why I made that comment and see for youself:




Not ball bashing here. I had 2 balls watches (I still have 2 balls btw ) and love them but in the end sold them. Honestly, its value for money (at that time when they were ard the 2k or below range) but the finish is def not on par with for example, IWC (comparing titanium models) or Rolex (SS models). Its pretty evident when you run your finger across the case and compare the smoothness as well as how even or uneven the light bounces off the titanium case.

In terms of time keeping, no issues there. other than running 4-5s/day for my diver chronometer and 7-8s/day for my Fireman, I have no complains.

Anyway, if you compare older ball GMT models, they tend to use red as the GMT hand. wonder why the sudden change to green.

I think it is normal that sometimes a "cheaper" brand will take some aspects of a popular models of the more "expensive" brands that make the watch popular and incorporate them into the designs of their own watch to sell the watch as a alternate for the consumers to own something close to what they like at a lower price.

This is no difference from cars where you can see certain car models out there looks a lot like some other luxury car models..

I have no issues with that. I understand that its always a risk for them to design new styles as the brand is fairly new and peoplemight not accept it.

Today I dropped by WOS at Paragon, in addition to the Black & White Dials, there is apparently also a Blue Dial that is exclusive to them?

I am not sure about that but if u want a cheaper version of the Rolex GMT2C then Ball magnate black dial will be similar to it. And its more expensive then the Ball SM glow as it just came out too. Same diameter and and height just as the GMT2C... The Blum bezel lume is good though... but then it retails at 4150sgd and for local Ads will be 20% for new model, older models at 25% and above..
