buying Sinn watches in Germany

factory's in frankfurt... vat refund as per normal EU procedures - v straightforward... ask at store and u'll b advised... or u can google for it...

alright thanks.but is it any cheaper than singapore if i were to purcahse it there, at the factory as opposed to an authorised dealer there in germany?

Yep its cheaper from the factory than in Sg for sinn.

The above is a member who often obtains watches direct from Sinn and sells them here. You may want to ask him.

do note that it may be cheaper to purchase from sinn direct.

however, if there are any issues with the watch in sg. you have to send in the watch yourself to sinn factory. remember to factor in the insurance of the watch for peace of mind.

alternatively, you can send it in thru THG. if you do so, you may be required to pay THG a fee for handling the watch for you. one of our members here have bad experience. however, my friend and me have bought sinn from THG. we had to get it to service as our watches have the argon gas which can only be done in germany. we brought our watches to THG then they sent it in for us. took a period of 6 months before it came back because they have to consolidate order and sent it 'all' @ one go. never had any issues as they told us it would take 6 months. so after CNY, we sent in the watch, then collect watch during national day. total 6 months.

you may pay about 300-500 less that what you can get it from THG. remember that in sg, there is no service centre for sinn, so what happens when your watch requires service? for me, i rather pay abit more so that any issues with the watch i can get THG to handle for me. as the 'premium' i paid already, im assured of service by THG, else i can complain about them if they provide bad service.

Needs no consolidation, probably needs to wait for only 1-2 months.
