  • Help with Colt GMT (not within COSC)

    Hi guys,

I have just purchased a breitling a month back. Initially it keeps time to +4 seconds a day. Now it seems to get worse at +7 seconds.

I just tried it out again recently and it did +3 seconds within 6 Hours....

I just called Breitling Melchers and they said the watch maker will probably have to take between 3-4 weeks to have it done...

Just want to check if anyone here has sent their watches for regulating and does it normally take so long? I dont want to have to do without my watch for such a long period of time.
    Currently own:
Rolex Explorer 2 Black Dial 16570
    Rolex Precision 6694 (Manual winding)
    Blue Dial/Silver Markers
    Seiko SNZG15K1
Ball EMII Diver green inner bezel!
    Stowa Marine Original (White dial)

    Wishlist:
    Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic PAM 392 42mm

    (gone and missing them)
    Omega Seamaster 2254.50
    Breitling Colt GMT (Black dial)

Usually need to give it a couple of months to "break in" -- to even out all the oils & mechanism from sitting on the AD shelve a long time. If still out of COSC then you can bring in for warranty. Warranty work usually has priority. 3-4 weeks actually don't sound bad, especially compared to Breitling service in US or UK.

For the present, you might try experimenting by storing with crown up/crown down at night, and see if it helps to narrow the gap.

It quite a while but really thanks for replying... realise that Breitling thread seems quite dead....

I ll try to let it break in a while for another 2 - 3 months and see again cos i thought that regulating a watch only needs like an hour or two. Will chk with breitling regarding this again, hopefully its that quick..
      thanks for replying anyway
