Hi guys, (Virgin post)
Question 1: I'm keen on watches but I do not have the necessary knowledge in this area. Fell in love with them since my visit to Switzerland some time back but then again, are there any sites or magazines whereby I can bring myself up to speed before I just do a headless plunge into getting the watch that caught my eye.
Question 2: Recently, the glow (lume you guys call it) from Ball caught my eye. I've ask for a Night Train today at Orchard from Watches from Switzerland, and was quoted $2.3k. However, I've also read from some threads that discounts will be given from 20-30%. Is this a normal practice when it comes to buying watches?
Question 3: I also understand that watches retains its value even after purchase. What kind of watches retains value and is there another active site where trading of such watches are carried out?
Question 4: With regards to second hand dealers, are they worth the "risk", if any.
Pretty long winded but any advise, guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot guys.
